If this doesn't make you smile....

....I'm not sure what will. LuLu not only got a "perfect liver" from her sweet donor, but she got an extra spark and twinkle in her eyes as well. Forever grateful to her family, for their sacrifice...to ALL donors and donor families.

I just wanted to share a smidge of a conversation I had with Dr. Book days after transplant. We were talking about what a miracle this whole process is, how full circle it had become. She knew I struggled A LOT with the thought of someone losing their child in order for me to keep mine. I told her about the peace I was able to find following surgery through a series of beautiful events. What a divine, sacred process organ donation is.

Tears came from both of us when she was telling me, in so many words, her experiences witnessing organ procurement. She said that Dr. VanderWerf handles these organs with such care, love and respect that it feels like a beautiful, sacred ceremony. She said she's never been able to observe without leaving-crying many tears. She is one of the best women.

Doctors do everything they can to save a person. When they can't and when the family chooses to give life to others admits their grief, rest assured their loved ones are treated with more dignity and respect than we could ever imagine as their organs are harvested and continue living on after their soul has gone to bigger and better things. Leave your legacy, DONATE LIFE.

Definitely made me smile! I can't get enough of those baby laughs! I love how she is shoveling those Cheerios. HOW DARLING IS SHE!? Also, it's so great to know the doctors take so much care of both sides...

Smiles from ear to ear!!!!

I can't imagine what you went through? Such mixed feelings when you needed a donor. I Followed both stories and when I figured it out put two an two together who her donor Angel was I just thought this was the most beautiful story ever!!!! It was one of those stories you had to call everyone you know to tell them:)

I am huge about Donating and I will always be a huge advocate for Donation!!
I am very amazed by You James, Lizzy and Jonah what a challenge sprinkled with so many blessings!!!!
People always ask me how I can be a photographer for NILMDTS. I always tell them its really hard to see families pain. But I see past that and I see miracles, blessing beyond what I can even express!!! I know that is the feelings you have with Ashley.....LOVE!!!!

Elizabeth, James, London, Jonah & Julia....

Eileen and I are so happy to see that London finally received her liver. I know the heartbreak of having a child in the hospital for a long time, and I'm happy this will have a good ending. London is such a beautiful child, and I'm very glad to see she is tearing into the cheerios! God bless all of you,
