Catching many zzzzzzzz's
LuLu's poster, back up.
A beautiful sight for my sore eyes...
Listening to Bob on daddy phone
This morning when we returned to our Lulu she'd been having breathing problems. She is on high flow oxygen helping to open up her partially collapsed lungs. I wont give all the medical jargon and or every detail other than to say she IS DOING WELL! Dr. Book and both surgeons have seen her often and are very happy with how she is progressing. We will go back into surgery Wednesday or Thursday to finish closing LuLu up. There was too much swelling with the liver, spleen etc. to close her other than stitching her skin. So a hurdle we will overcome.
Lulu opened her beautiful eyes for me at 12:45 for just a few minutes until they increased her morphine and started dreaming again. I haven't seen her eyes since I said goodbye to her before sending her into surgery.
I know she is so close to God right now and many angels administering to her. Her donor angel nearby- I know. I think she is seeing her while she dreams, becoming friends, becoming sisters. When I return to heaven one day, I hope SHE will be one of the first to greet me so I can hold her, love her, thank her. I have been mourning for the family since I got the call that LuLu has a liver. We are so grateful to her parents for the selfless decision to donate. There aren't even words adequate enough. Thank you is a gross understatement.

She looks beautiful. I was going to paint her nails but you all beat me to it. I am happy she is not vented anymore. She looks good. I will be up at the hospital tomorrow I will come visit. I love you all, you have my thoughts and prayers.
Liz and James, She looks so amazing! I have truly been captivated by your blog and can't wait to check for updates on little Lulu! I showed your blog to my friends and some doctors i work with and they are LOVED looking at her progress! We checked your blog all day yesterday together. Everyone rooting for Lulu! :) She has so many people admiring her and her courage! (and yours and James courage!-AMAZING!) She is a beautiful little girl and what an incredible decision for the donor angel's family to make...May God bless them and comfort them, as well as you and your family! :) Thank you Liz and James for sharing all this with us!

Breaks my heart, I read Julia's post's below and I'm so thankful her tube is out...I can't imagine being tied down and being in so much pain, poor little thing! What a strong girl, bless her little body. I love the picture of her gripping Daddy's finger, so sweet! I'm sad that she has to go in for more surgery's, but what a miracle these doctors do! What a beautiful sleeping beauty you have!
I'm almost positive your Child Life Specialist is my niece, but regardless, I now know a little more about what she does for a living. More importantly, I've had the privilege of following London's progress via this blog. We never know how or why our presence in this world will have an impact -- who would have thought that a stranger from two states away would learn about your sweet baby girl and her incredible journey towards health? -- but it shows that we are all in this life together.
I have children myself, and I cannot imagine what you've been going through. Thank you for being willing to share it with others. London and her family will be in my thoughts.
What a wonderful update!!!! London is so beautiful!!!!!

PS Tell your mommy & daddy that your picky big brother just ate a huge helping of shepherds pie!! Shocking, I know!
the most beautiful sleeping beauty i've ever seen : )
I've been dying to see her little eyes open! What a beauty! I love you so much London! Perhaps the blonde angel in the picture is Dr. Meyers (one of many miracle workers that have helped to save LuLu's life).
I'm hoping to pay you a visit soon, Little Angel Girl!
Such good news Liz! We are still praying and rooting for you guys! Man, that London is so pretty! ;)
Just wondering if someone is slipping that beauty some Latisse? Glad to hear of her progress. Continued prayers.
Love LeeAnn
She really does look like Sleeping Beauty with those long, beautiful lashes and pretty red lips. What a gorgeous little thing she is. SO happy to hear that she'd doing so well. Hope the rest of you are okay too. You've got to be exhausted in every way. Thinking of you always. xoxoxo
I am the donor's cousin and I just have to say that I am so happy for your baby girl. She is so beautiful and I wish a lifetime of happiness for you and your family. By you both coming to the funeral you gave so much peace to our family. We will miss her so much but now we know she lives on through your little Lulu. Your baby is in my prayers.
